Rooted in the World |
| 1. We begin our lives rooted in the world. |
|
Desire and Drive |
| 2. God created us with a desire and a drive which will not be satisfied in the world or apart from God. This moves us towards God. |
|
Connection to God |
| 3. If we don’t make a connection to God through Jesus, our desire and drive will make us so uncomfortable (angst) that we will direct our effort to quiet, to anesthetize the desire and drive. |
|
Connection Through Jesus |
| 4. Our connection to God is provided by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. |
|
Rooted in God |
5. We can make a transition from being rooted in the world and moving towards God, to being rooted in God while living in the world.
